A large Chinese Imari bowl, painted and gilt to the exterior with peony, chrysanthemum and fruiting sprays issuing from rockwork and from behind fences, the interior with a central spray of peony below a band of lappets, flowerheads and leaves to the rim (cracked, rim chips, glaze scratches) -- 16in.diam., 18th century.
