A tanto with steel blade, gilt-metal habaki incised with simulated driving rain, boxwood leaf-shaped tsuba inlaid in green stained ivory studs, the wooden hilt inlaid with coral, stained ivory and wood with nuts, vegetables and shells, with gilt bronze fuchi-kashira decorated with mushrooms and bamboo, the fluted black lacquer scabbard also inlaid in horn, ivory and boxwood with mushrooms forming the kurikata, pine, aubergines and a pumpkin, fitted with a horn koi-guchi and iron kozuka decorated in gilt and bronze with a pea-pod among leafy tendrils (blade rusted, two pieces of inlay replaced on scabbard, kojiri missing) -- the blade 9.in.long, the kozuka signed.
