Jan. 1887" (Dodgson received his first copy on 17 December 1886), with 37 illustrations by Dodgson; Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, 1866, First Published English Edition, First Issue with the inverted "s" in the last line of the Contents page, with 42 illustrations by Sir John Tenniel; The Hunting of the Snark, 1876, FIRST EDITION, with 9 illustrations by Henry Holiday; The Game of Logic, 1887, tipped in before half-title is the game board and printed envelope for the original 1886 edition (suppressed by Dodgson) but lacking the nine colored counters, First Published Edition; all London: Macmillan, together 4 vols., 8vo, blue polished calf gilt, spines gilt in compartments, red and brown morocco lettering pieces, g.e., original cloth covers (including backstrips) bound in, by Riviere, spines slightly faded with ends a bit scuffed, some other wear.
