CODY, WILLIAM F. ("Buffalo Bill"). Autograph letter signed ("Bill") to "Dear Mike," Stockton, England, 7 July 1904. 1 page, 4to, on attractive gold-embossed stationery of "Buffalo Bill's Wild West," evenly yellowed. While touring England with his Wild West show (which was very successful in Europe), Buffalo Bill enthusiastically predicts that a new mining venture will be successful: "Well we are getting there at last. We are in new territory and business & weather fine. You will here from me soon. I presume your keeping in touch with Powell. The coal mine will be the greatest money maker of all When we get her going..." Like a good number of Cody's business speculations, the coalmining venture eventually went bankrupt.
