(9 3/4 x 7 1/4 in.), folds neatly repaired on verso (slightly affecting 8 letters of printed text), accomplished in manuscript (ink a bit pale in places), carefully inlaid, a few dampstains, edges discolored. General Washington discharges "...Moses Busman, soldier in the Eighth Massachusetts Regiment [for] having faithfully served the United States Six Years and four Months and being inlisted for the War only..."
