A shaped bowl painted and gilt to the interior with a large number of boys surrounding a white caparisoned elephant before a rocky river landscape, the exterior with oval medallions of ladies and children before silk hangings and on terraces on a ground of flowers including chrysanthemums and irises (gilt retouched to one small area) -- 4¾in. diam, signed Nihon Yozan.
