A cylindrical jar, cover and inside liner painted and gilt with fan shaped panels of wisteria, maple leaves floating on swirling waters, chrysanthemums and banded hedges, irises and other flowers, the sloping shoulder with further panels of geometric design, the cover with a Tokugawa mon (minor gilt rubbing) -- 5¾in. high, signed Satsuma-yaki Dai Nihon Bijutsu.
