A giltwood throne chair, the arched back, armrests and padded seat with pale crimson floral damask upholstery, the back with scroll cresting and gadrooned surround with acanthus carved scroll arm terminals, on square tapering channelled legs carved with trailing foliage, on block feet joined by acanthus scroll cross stretchers with later central finial, late 17th/early 18th Century, probably Italian, extensively restored, re-gilded.
