THE SOUND OF MUSIC, 1965
A Goya Model F-19 acoustic guitar used by Julie Andrews in the film as "Maria Von Trapp"; Ms. Andrews introduced the Von Trapp children to the joy of music and played this guitar throughout the film. The actress performed many of the award winning songs in the film including, "Do-A-Deer" and "My Favorite Things". This guitar was lent to Warner Bros. by the Goya Music Corporation, and is prominent in that one of the original white bridge pins that hold the strings on the guitar top is missing; during the filming someone had fashioned a hand-made bridge pin, and this difference is evident thoroughout the film. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the former owner of the Goya Music Corporation; together with a production still from the film--8 x 10 in.
