Two Chelsea mazarin-blue ground tapering square section vases with flared necks, one painted with nautical scenes of ships in harbours with onlooking figures, the other painted with panels of flowers, Chinoiserie figures, exotic Oriental birds, and Italianate landscapes, the panels to each painted within a variety of rocaille-scroll and diaper-pattern borders, the everted rims moulded and gilt with pendant stiff leaves (one vase repaired), one with gold anchor mark, circa 1760 -- 13in. high
