An unusual early 19th century cast and wrought iron small full size pendulous oscillating cylinder four pillar table engine -- 20½ x 16in (52 x 40.7cm)
With single unlagged cylinder 2in bore x 4½in stroke, rocking lever operated slide valve, table mounted trunnions, inlet and exhaust pipes with studded stuffing boxes, the cylinder with integrally cast separate steam ways, the table supported on four doric columns, waisted crank, the crankshaft supported in two main bearings, one outboard and supported on a fifth doric column, 'V' belt spoked pulley and cast spoked flywheel. Further details include cast pierced bed, split brasses to all bearings and valve actuating lever operated feed pump with non return valve. Finished in black and polished brightwork
