Lot Essay

Alice Helen Loch (1840 - 1932). There is a fan painted by her with holly, mistletoe and Christmas rose given to Queen Alexandra when Princess of Wales, Christmas 1881, in the collection of Her Majesty The Queen.
Princess Louise Marguerite of Prussia married Princes Arthur, Duke of Connaught, third sone of H.M. Queen Victoria on the 12 March 1879.
