The prototype live steam spirit fired model of the G.N.R. Stirling Single No.1 built by Bassett-Lowke Railways Ltd circa 1968/9 -- 5 1/8 x 19¾in (13 x 50.2cm).
With copper firetube boiler with regulator, safety and clack valves, pressure gauge and provision for water gauge. Chassis details include twin cylinders with slip eccentric reverse, displacement lubricator, riveting, dummy weight shaft weights, pierced splashers, sprung driven axle and other details. Tender details include hand feed pump, brake gear with wooden brake blocks, sprung axles, riveting, steps, hand and lamp irons. Finished in G.N.R. livery and lining. Showtrack.
