Lot Essay

Installed from new at the cost of ¨12 13s 6d in 1897 at G. Austin & Sons cow keepers and dairymen, 39 Brayard Road, Peckham SE15., in their milk processing room. This later became their workshop when the business changed to Warehouse men & Depository, later Antique & Furniture dealers. Taken out of service Oct 26 1989 by the Gas Company. To be sold with a certificate of employment from the Dairy, a 1920's original framed and glazed photograph showing with arrow where this cooker was installed, and drip bucket for boiler tap.
