A scarlet-lacquered and chinoiserie-decorated bureau bookcase, in the early 18th century style, with overall decoration of figures in lakeside scenes, the upper section with moulded cornice and enclosed by a pair of panelled doors, with shelves, drawers and central cupboard within, the lower part with sloping fall enclosing a fitted interior and three long drawers below on bracket feet, repairs - 41in. (104cm.) wide.
