Two valentine cards with embossed and paperlace borders and hand-coloured lithographed centres, one by Dobbs & Co. depicting Cupid holding a net trying to catch winged hearts, the verse reads 'Who the fond partner of each joy I feel?/Who? the partaker of my sighs and tears/Let this, my humble Valentine reveal/That you're that partner of my hopes and fears', 10 x 8in., c. 1840.
