A set of four hand-coloured lithographed valentine cards with embossed borders and printed comic verses, including 'What a bandy legged Tailor, of you what is the use/You are quite emblematical of what you use - a Goose/You dirty little stab rag, do tell me if you can/How many Tailors more than nine, it takes to be a man/Presumptive little Mr. Snip I really can't define/Why you should ever hope to be a woman's Valentine', 7 x 4¾in., c. 1850.
