HUMOROUS LITHOGRAPHED VALENTINES
A pair of hand-coloured lithographed valentine cards with comic verses, the centres depicting his and hers packing cases, both unfolding to reveal male and female full-length comical figures, one verse reads 'Your Costumes Miss are very nice/You're perfect in your dress/Yet pardon me if I think twice/Before I risk my happiness/On one who squanders all her time/On making herself gay and fine', 7½ x 4¼in., c. 1865.
