A Continental late 19th century massive replica of a 17th century standing salt cellar and cover on claw and ball feet and with figure finial, chased and embossed with biblical vignettes, mask and strap-work and floral and foliate swags, the salt cellar itself gilt-lined, bearing import marks for London 1893, the importation sponsored by Edward Thompson Bryant - 20¼in., 72.50oz.
