A Japanese gold, red and black lacquer group of a clump of lotus in bud, flower and seed issuing from a jardiniere decorated in coloured lacquer with butterflies in flight above flowerheads -- 14¾in.high; and another similar issuing from a hexagonal jardiniere decorated with foliate cartouches (both with minor chips) -- 14½in.high.
