An unusual early Victorian novelty mustard pot modelled as a military side drum applied with ropes and straps, with blue glass liner, "carriage" strap and buckle scroll handle, and flat hinged cover with finial modelled as a triangle with striker, the cover inset with a commemorative medallion struck to celebrate the victory at Waterloo, the obverse depicting a bust portrait of the Duke of Wellington crowned with laurels, Messrs. Barnard, London 1839 - 2¾in.
