A Victorian three-piece novelty condiment set in a three-handled trefoil simulated wickerwork basket with a vacant circular cartouche, the mustard pot modelled as a kitten seated on its hind-quarters, wearing a collar and bow and with a hinged head, the salt pot modelled as a bear, the pepperette modelled as a begging pug dog, the underside of the basket erased, James Barclay Hennell, London 1878, the basket and the mustard pot both bearing a "diamond" patent registration mark for August 20, 1875 - 3¼in.
