A Meissen figure of a putto gardener modelled standing against a tree-stump, loosely draped in a rose sash, his weight on a spade as he digs a hole flanked by two pots of pink and yellow roses and a garden rake, on a shaped-oval grassy moulded base edged with white and gilt scrolls, blue crossed swords mark, incised and impressed numerals, circa 1880 -- 4¾in.high
