A Boeotian terracotta figure of Leda and the Swan, the goddess standing on a semicircular spool-shaped base, with weight on right leg, naked save for a himation which falls around her shoulders, folded over her right arm and held high in her upraised left hand, in her right hand she holds a swan against her thigh with neck raised towards her breast, her hair is dressed in tight curls which fall in front as two ringlets on either shoulder, large rectangular vent -- 10¼in. (26.2cm.) high, circa 350 B.C.
