A fine late Victorian diamond tiara/necklace formed as a diamond-set scrolling and foliate design incorporating three main circular-cut diamonds and with five radiating bars each one set with a graduated row of three circular-cut diamonds, the largest to the centre. The tiara, when detached from it's frame, forms a most attractive necklace with a diamond-set srcoll-link back piece. It can also be transformed into three brooches and a pair of earrings, all harnesses complete.
Tiaras such as the above were especially popular at the turn of the century. They often converted not only into necklaces but brooches and sometimes even earrings. This is an especially attractive example displaying the granduer of the Victorian taste as well as the elegance of the imminent Edwardian.
