A collection of 6 a.l.s., by Edward VIII on his personal notepaper, headed St. James' Palace, two dated 1923, one post-marked South Africa, 1925. One undated letter states: "I often wish myself back in "Emperors of France"!! -- We had rather fun didn't we?" another apologises for not having "had a chance of talking to you in Fort Beaufort -- But I saw it was hopeless right from the start & I guess you did too & understood;" together with the original envelopes.
