A late 18th century oak eight day longcase clock, the hood with swan neck pediment and spherical brass finials, flanked by column uprights, the square brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the silvered and foliate engraved centre with calander aperture and painted moonphase, and day aperture, signed Thos Sister, HALIFAX, within foliate pierced spandrels, the shaped door to the trunk with shell patera, flanked by turned pilasters with brass caps, on a panelled plinth -- 89in. (226cm) high, with two weights and a pendulum bob.
