The rounded rectangular three-quarter galleried top above a slightly concave frieze fitted with a pair of oval panelled cupboard doors, enclosing a rosewood-lined interior fitted with a shelf, above two short drawers flanked by canted angles, mounted with female portrait terms and acanthus foliage, the serpentine inlaid writing surface, above a velvet-lined writing-slide and a shaped frieze drawer, on slender cabriole supports headed by further female portrait and foliate-cast clasps stretching to acanthus-cast scrolled sabots, 36in.
