A fine and early J & E Stevens 'Two Frogs' painted cast-iron bank, designed by James H Bowen, coin placed on small frog's foot kicked into large frog's mouth by lever action, 'Pat. Apld For' cast on underside, coin trap 'Pat'd Feb 2 1875', frogs with glass eyes, painted in different shades of green, with green foliage beneath, circa 1882 (G, two eyes missing) --8½in. long
