A Portuguese colonial rosewood, line-inlaid and marquetry chest, inlaid overall with blossoming foliage and birds, with rectangular top above an arrangement of twelve drawers and a long drawer below on bun feet, the sides with carrying handles, one missing, probably adapted from a cabinet-on-stand with fall front, early 18th century (one foot detached) -- 41in. (104cm.) wide, 20in. (51cm.) deep, 43in. (109cm.) high.
