A Louis XVI period tulipwood, line-inlaid and purple-heart-banded secretaire commode, with mottled red marble top and fall-front enclosing a fitted interior with two drawers below, flanked by simulated fluted uprights on square tapering legs with brass cappings, damaged, probably Dutch - 38¾in. (98.5cm.) wide, 18in. (46cm.) deep, 36in. (91.5cm.) high.
