Second quarter 19th Century
The rectangular top inlaid with 84 squares including alabastro fiorito and egiziano, Sicilian jasper, verde antico, bianco e nero antico and lumachella orientale, above a pierced frieze centred by a shell framed by foliate C-scrolls and rockwork corner clasps decorated with acanthus, on C-scroll legs, joined by a X-shaped stretcher centred by a spraying foliate finial, on scrolling acanthus feet, losses to the carving and gilding
