Katabori, stained boxwood; a compact model of a snail emerging from its shell, its head just starting to unfold, the radial marking of the shell carefully carved and stained, the very tight himotoshi formed by a gap between the body and the shell, signed in cursive ukibori characters in a rectangular reserve Tadayuki
