A Regency three-piece compressed moulded circular tea service decorated with rococo flowers, foliage, C-scrolls and scalework and with rococo cartouches engraved with armorials, crests and mottos, the teapot with chased leaf-capped rising curved spout, polished wood double scroll handle and domed hinged cover, the gilt-lined milk jug and sugar basin with flute, floral and foliate-decorated scroll handles and domed detachable covers, each piece with a finial modelled as a recumbent man, maker's initials I.P., London 1816 - height of teapot 6in., 47.25oz. gross.
