A pair of oak dining chairs, in the style of Charles Rennie MacKintosh, the oval top-rail pierced with formilised bird motif flanked by tapering uprights above drop-in seat on square tapering legs joined by stretchers.

This chair is a later example of the 1897 design for the high-back chair, used in the luncheon room of the Argylle Street Tearooms.
