An Edwardian and slightly later Hanoverian pattern part flatware service engraved with crests, the spoons with rat-tail bowls, comprising: eighteen tablespoons, twelve slightly smaller tablespoons, twelve table forks, twenty-four dessert spoons, forty-two dessert forks, fifty-six tea, egg and coffee spoons, a pair of sauce ladles, two pickle forks, two butter knives and a pair of sugar tongs, with a pair of matching grape shears, a pair of matching asparagus tongs, a matching large sauce boat with smaller sauce boat, each on shell and hoof feet and with a reeded rim and leaf-capped scroll handle, and a matching fish slice and fork with ivory handles, in a plush-lined oak canteen with vacant brass cartouche, the two doors enclosing three graduated drawers, mainly Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1909 and 1911 - weight excluding fish slice and fork 273.50oz. free.
