A George II shaped oval swing-handled cake basket on a gadrooned rising oval foot and with an applied gadroon, shell and scrolling foliate rim, the foot and body pierced overall with a geometric design of squares, the centre engraved with a monogram within a rococo floral and foliate cartouche, the elaborate scrolling handle applied with a rococo cartouche engraved with the same monogram, fitted with a clear glass liner with star-cut base, the liner repaired, Edward Aldridge & John Stamper, London 1754 - 13¾in., 42.25oz. free.
