A planked and framed live steam spirit fired 1½in:1ft scale model of the Windemere steam launch 'Bat' built from Windemere Steam Boat Museum plans and photographs by I.Sharpe.--11½ x 39½in (29.2 x 100.4cm).
The carvel planked hull with external details including planked fore and aft decks with lockers under, fore and aft cockpits with bottom boards and slatted seats, the rear with canvas canopy supported on six metal columns, dummy ship's wheel, instruments, Windamere kettle, engine room lights and other details. Power plant details include braised copper Yarrow boiler (burner missing) with filler/safety valve, main stop and steam line with displacement lubricator to Stuart 10V single cylinder engine with disc flywheel, shaft coupling and three blade propellor. Finished in orange with green boot top, white and varnish. Stand.
