A French gilt-metal-mounted mahogany and vernis martin cylinder bureau, the raised superstructure with pierced gallery and simulated drapery frieze above central oval door and drawer flanked by fluted uprights and mirrored open compartments with two drawers below above hinged fall with painted panel of 18th century figures and frieze drawer on fluted tapering legs, late 19th century -- 31in. (79cm.) wide, 18½in. (47cm.) deep, 59in. (150cm.) high.
