A fine pair of child's stays or corset , of ivory silk finely stitched in silk and bound in silk, boned and lined with silk - circa 1770; and another unfinished of boned and stitched linen, bound in blue watered silk at the back by the lacing holes - circa 1770

Provenance
These were reputedly the property of Miss Anna Maria Dacres, later Mrs Adams, dresser and later wet nurse to the daughters of George III. These corsets are so finely made that it seems most probable they were made for one of the Princesses. The unfinished corset is inscribed four times PE
