Sadhana, London, Macmillan, 1913, 8°, FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY the front free end paper with inscription laid down on card: "Sent at the author's request" (annotated throughout in pencil, some light spotting), original blue cloth (extremities rubbed); together with two 2pp. a.l.s. by Tagore, one dated Oakridge Lynch, Stroud, Glos., 13th August 1912, to Mr. Outram, discussing his illness: "I think it is good for one to be permanently hampered with something inconvenient. It is like being obliged to write within the limits of a metre which very often makes your thoughts beautiful," the other promising to send a copy of Sadhana the moment it is published. (3)
