A Shibayama style ivory rectangular box and cover inlaid in mother-of-pearl, stained ivory, horn and coral with a long-tailed bird perched on maple branches above a gigaku drum before a fence, the sides decorated with insects among vases, censers and foliage (small areas of inlay missing) -- 7½in long.
