A Shibayama style kinji lacquer and ivory rectangular tray with canted corners, decorated in hiramakie, takamakie and kirigane, and inlaid in stained ivory, mother-of-pearl, horn and coral with a figure of Jurojin leaning on a pine branch and watching two dancing karako, one beating a drum and the other wearing a shishimai mask among peony sprays issuing from rockwork on a ground of simulated basket-weave, within a border decorated with Tokugawa mon and stylised flowerheads (some inlay loose, small area of inlay missing) -- 21.X.14.in, wood frame.
