After studying at the Prague Academy and in Carlsruhe and Berlin, Justitz travelled to Paris in 1910 to study the work of Courbet and Cezanne. He exhibited several times in Prague; Munich in 1911 and Berlin in 1921. His work is to be found in the Prague National Gallery and in other Czechoslovakian museums.
