According to the storybook based on the film the banquet at Pankot Palace had given Indiana Jones cause for concern ...Tonight's dinner made him suspicious...Roasted boar had been served for the main course, yet no devout Hindu ever touched meat.... The presence of the beetles at the banquet instigated one of Willie's better lines in the film, when the Indian merchant beside her relishing a large fried beetle exclaimed ..But you're not eating.. she replied ..I had bugs for lunch....
