The clock movement striking on a coiled gong, suspending a sunburst pendulum centred by a portrait mask, the white enamel dial centred by an engine-engraved brass roundel, enclosed by a bevelled-glazed door and flanked on either side by two pillars painted with Classical figures within rustic landscapes, the rectangular moulded cornice with stiff-leaf cast border, the plinth applied with a band of anthemions, on pierced scroll supports
