The first novel by Wodehouse published by Herbert Jenkins who, as Barrie & Jenkins and now Century Hutchinson, still reissues the novels. Guy Bolton dramatzied the novel in 1918; it was made into a silent film in 1919, and in 1936 MGM produced the motion picture Piccadilly Jim with Robert Montgomery and Madge Evans.
