A hand-coloured lithographed valentine card with flowered border and picture of a lady letting a pigeon go with a valentine letter, verse reads 'Fondly, love, - my heart is beating - With affection true to thee/And timidly I send this greeting;/Where I fain would wish to be. Long, full long - the pain and anguish,/O a fond and yearning heart Thus hath made my sporit languish;/Simple love - devoid of art...' - 8 x 10in., circa 1840
