A hand-coloured lithographed comic valentine card with picture of enormous circus master, verse reads 'So Coachey there again you go/I ne'er will wed, so off, ge woo;/For with a flatterer like thee/Your valentine I ne'er can be...' - 7½ x 9½in., circa 1840; and another similar of a footman, verse reads 'You strutting elf bedaubed with lace/Without a Coat when out or place/Your Spindle shanks, and Frill so fine/Makes you a charming Valentine' - 8 x 10in., circa 1840
