A well engineered two pillar twin cylinder compound vertical stationary engine built by R. Hentstridge, engineer Pangbourne, Berks. -- 15 x 10½in (38 x 26.6cm)
With piston valves with lubricators and cylinders 1¾in and 2 3/8in bores x 1½in stroke, cylinder draincocks, lagged transfer pipe with pressure gauge, rear frame incorporated, slipper type crosshead guides, studded stuffing boxes, counterbalanced crankshaft running in three main bearings, eccentric driven feed pump with expansion dome and exhaust feed pre-heater and disc flywheel. Additional details include oil box and pipework, crank guards and sump drain. Cast bed. Finished in green, red, and polished brightwork; and a partially stripped round frame dynamo; and a quantity of useful bits and pieces
